We are really pleased to announce that our colleagues from Realm will be at MongoDB World to show their mobile database platform. MongoDB recently acquired Realm because they, like us, understand how data is at the heart of a modern application and that making it as simple as possible to work with data is how we help companies become more productive. Now Realm is part of MongoDB, they are also part of MongoDB World.

Realm Sessions at World

So that MongoDB World attendees can learn how Realm has translated that understanding into practice for mobile data, we have arranged a number of sessions.

For those who like to get straight to the code, there are 90-minute Hands-on with Realm Mobile Database tutorials on Monday and Wednesday. These cover the essential concepts for building mobile apps with Realm including setting up your application, working with Realm’s live objects, and embracing reactive principles. The tutorials are presented by Realm’s creator, Alexander Stigsen.

On Tuesday, there are two higher level talks on Realm. Alexander Stigsen will be back presenting Realm: The Secret Sauce for Better Mobile Apps which introduces Realm as a mobile application platform. The other talk looks at Realm’s synchronization story: REST-less Mobile Apps: Why Offline-first and Sync Matters for Your App and Business where the presenters will show how Realm’s “Seamless Sync” works without using a RESTful interface and look at the use cases that this applies to. This talk will also be repeated on Wednesday.

Finally, on the last day of MongoDB World at Builder’s Fest, we are looking forward to seeing a Realm Mobile pod join the other pods in offering builders hands-on and demo experiences.

With three weeks to go before it all starts in New York, MongoDB World 2019 is going to be the most comprehensive MongoDB World ever.
